I downloaded and installed V8.3 today.
Also downloaded and attempted to install the AE Enhanced/Proline interface. I followed instructions and attached my connector (usb version) as directed and attempted to install. Not sure if it installed but it said my firmware version was 26. What does the note under the AE Enhanced/Proline Interface Firmware update mean? It reads "OBDII & SCI Interfaces do not require a firmware update" BTW, this past May, I sent my AE Proline connector back to AE and had it updated. Thanks for the clairification; maybe I just don't understand the term "SCI" karl |

To update your interface start the FirmwareUpdater.exe with your interface attached to your PC and read and follow the instructionsOnce update has completed you will be notified When I connect my updated proline connector, the following message appearsin the status window: AE Enhanced Connector Firmware Status: + Current Rev 1 Firmware: 30 + Current Rev 2 Firmware: 30 ProLine Connector Firmware Status: + Current Firmware: 28 When I attempt to update the firmware, I get the following message: Failed to communicate with the AutoEnginuity Hardware. Please verify that the interface you are using is labeled 'AE Enhanced Connector'. This does not work with either the OBDII and Chrysler SCI Interfaces. Any idea what the problem is? BTW I'm using VISTA thanks, karl |
